The Scholastic Golf Academy (SGA) fills the void in urban communities where under-served and economically challenged youth are typically not exposed to or encouraged to participate in junior golf programs.

The SGA is a year-round after-school enrichment program that focuses on academic enrichment and golf instruction using state-of-the-art, computer-based technology. The SGA operates out of the historic Langston Golf Course in Northeast Washington, D.C. The SGA has two categories of participants-scholarship and non-scholarship-but there is no variation in the services received.

In 2002, Golf Exposure served 55 youth through the Scholastic Golf Academy, in it first full year
